Dundonald
Located on Ayrshire’s ‘golf coast,’ Dundonald Links combines heritage and tradition with a modern golf experience. Designed by course architect Kyle Phillips, this championship links features enough variation to appeal to all levels of experienced golfers. Generous fairways, undulating greens and a choice of tee distances come together to provide an enjoyable game. Also home to a luxuriously modern clubhouse and private lodges, this is the ideal place to stay and play.
Originally designed by Open champion Willie Fernie in 1887, Dundonald links opened in 1911 as one of the longest in the country at 6700 yards. The course was subsequently put to use by the military throughout the war years, before being restored to golf glory in 2003. A rich, rolling green carpet of coastal land, the course itself is framed by evergreen pines and dappled with dense gorse bushes.
