Widely considered one of the world’s best links experiences, the Old Course at Royal Troon has a legacy that stretches back to 1878, when the club was first established. Hosting The Open Championship many times, the club was granted royal status in its Centenary year under the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and is home to both the Old Course and Portland Course. Located in south Ayrshire and separated from the Firth of Clyde beach by just a ridge of sand dunes, both courses require players to contend with coastal gusts and typical seaside terrain.
