When it comes to the pedigree of golf along Scotland’s Ayrshire Coast, one could argue that the west is the best. Home to a sprawling series of golf courses and resorts, this is the place to head for a high-end, luxurious experience without losing sight of that authentic charm and hospitality that Scotland is so well-known for. Lush landscapes and tall tales of history are in abundance here, along with howling westerlies and sublime sea views.

On each course, guests can expect legendary links experiences. Admire the legendary terrain of the Alisa at Turnberry, supposed birthplace of the King of Scots and home of the iconic lighthouse. At Royal Troon, the humps and hollows of the Old Course back nine are subject to some seriously challenging wind exposure - you can either toast to your success or commiserate your losses in the relaxed Club Bar. Also included in this range of renowned golf courses is Prestwick, where The Open Championship itself originated. Relatively unchanged since its Tom Morris design, Prestwick is perfect for those seeking drivable holes combined with tricky challenges, in the same spirit as Dundonald and Western Gailes.

Sample Itinerary

Whether it’s an away day at our home club, at a special event or when we travel to memorable courses around the world.

Day 1 : Arrive at any port in Scotland where you will be met by your personal driver and escorted to your vehicle. Private transfer in our luxury transport to historic Troon. Check into the Marine Hotel, Troon and explore the town at your leisure.

Day 2 : Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Western Gailes. Play the spectacular Western Gailes links. Lunch at the golf club before returning to the Marine Hotel.

Day 3 : Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Royal Troon. Play the Old Course, Royal Troon – host of 9 pervious Open Championships and the 2024 Open Championship. Walk the same fairways and putt on the same greens as past Open Champions as Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer. Lunch at Royal Troon. Return private transfer to the Marine Hotel.

Day 4 : Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Turnberry. Play the Ailsa Course – host to 4 Open Championships. Lunch at Turnberry’s 19th hole, The Duel in the Sun restaurant, named in honour of the legendary play-off between Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus in the 1977 Open Championship. Private return transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 : Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Dundonald Links. Play Dundonald Links – a spectacular Ayrshire links and home to the 2017 Scottish Open and 2023 Women’s Scottish Open. Lunch at their world-class clubhouse. Private return transfer to your hotel.

Day 6 : Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Prestwick. Play Prestwick Golf Club –the original home of the Open Championship and host to 24 editions of the Open. Lunch at the Prestwick clubhouse before returning to your hotel.

Day 7 : Breakfast and depart the Marine Hotel via your private transfer to the airport of your choice.
